Jumping Oats

My brother and I discovered these one day on our mother's leftover apple crisp.


  • Plastic Wrap
  • A shallow dish
  • Rolled oats (quick oats work best)
  • Your hand


  1. Pour oats into the dish and spread evenly until they form a layer about an inch below the rim of the dish.
  2. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and pull it tight like a drum.
  3. Rub the back of your hand over the plastic wrap several times.
  4. Enjoy the show!
